I have lived, worked, hunted, and fished my way around the U.S. since leaving my Virginia home for the first time in 2003. Now settled in southeast Washington, my science career focuses on the conservation of endangered species and fish and wildlife habitat restoration and management.
My personal life involves maintaining a small homestead, serving Blue Mountain Pheasants Forever, and exploring our natural resources with three Llewellin setters (my oldest, Finnigan, pictured below), my lovely wife, and the best friends and family anyone could ask for.
I write to address questions of science, to share what knowledge I have to offer, and to satisfy my passions by reliving every precious minute afield.
