Happy Mother’s Day to the best dog mom and enabler of my #llewellinsetter and upland hunting addiction!

Spring in the scablands offers tremendous fly fishing, but the flourishing arid ecosystem is the bigger draw, rounding out the overall experience. Read more about fishing the scablands in the first edition of Harvesting Nature Magazine!
Sweet little Yuba pup is one of the most enjoyable hunting partners a guy could ask for. From her unmatched glee and enthusiasm to her inquisition and antics, she keeps the hunt entertaining no matter what. Who would have known we would go on to miss three grouse after our water break?
Evaded by grouse, the wary orange belton fixed her gaze on the forest comedian - the red squirrel. This was no laughing matter.
